Designed to revitalize historic Keelung Station in Taiwan, the multimedia fusion project Aniverse brings together technology and art to create a fully immersive attraction. Brogent Technologies and the Keelung City Government implemented AUO LED displays to transform both the interior and exterior of the station. Outside above the entrance, a gigantic outdoor naked-eye-3D curved LED screen awes passersby with resplendently lifelike imagery. And inside, more digital attractions await: Epsilon Course simulates a modern fighter-jet cockpit with a spherical dome display, while Delta Airship puts aspiring pilots behind the controls of a steampunk-inspired thrill ride.
- Premium Indoor and Outdoor LED Displays
- Immersion-enhancing Spherical and Curved LED Displays
- Large-Scale Naked-Eye-3D Technology
- Excellent Reliability and Uncompromising Support
Brogent Technologies had two major goals for Aniverse. First, the designers needed to transform the exterior of Keelung Station in a way that would catch the attention of those passing on the street. They wanted to signal that Aniverse was unique, like nothing potential attendees had ever seen before. Secondly, Brogent needed to ensure that the event itself lived up to the hype. This meant designing digital attractions with world-class display technology, to provide attendees with an awe-inspiring experience, one that would keep them talking about it for weeks or even months.
To successfully create an attraction of this scale, Brogent Technologies worked with many outside partners, including AUO. Brogent is the world’s leading media-based attraction supplier, with an extensive list of clients that includes Dreamworld, Europa-Park, and LEGOLAND. AUO, meanwhile, is a world-leading designer and manufacturer of LED displays. From weather-resistant large-scale outdoor 3D displays to fully immersive curved LED domes, every use case is within AUO’s capability to deliver. Brogent was confident that AUO could meet the stringent technical demands that Aniverse required.
The centerpiece of Aniverse is the massive curved naked-eye-3D screen that hangs above old Keelung Station. Because of the building’s historic nature, Brogent Technologies made precise measurements and calculations to ensure that AUO’s LED panels would seamlessly integrate into the architecture. Once the hardware was in place, the 3D multimedia quickly took shape. Elaborately engineered three-dimensional content now provides a fresh, exciting experience that is injecting new life into downtown Keelung. The giant kitten, in particular, has both locals and visitors alike in awe. The playful feline naps above the station, until it wakes up and jumps directly towards the audience below. It’s a captivating display of what large-scale 3D technology can accomplish.
Brogent Technologies is renowned for its digital flight simulations, and the interior of old Keelung Station showcases them in exhilarating fashion. Designed with AUO display technology, Epsilon Course thrusts users into the cockpit of a fighter jet simulation that makes use of a completely spherical LED array. Featuring HDR technology for enhanced contrast and full somatosensory feedback, this immersive experience provides all the thrills of a real jet-powered flight. Another major Aniverse attraction is Delta Airship, a simulation of a steampunk-style lighter-than-air craft. Employing six-axis motion-sensing technology and curved LED screens, this exclusive experience provides sensory feedback through a motorized underfoot platform and lets pilots enjoy the rush of flying thousands of meters high in the sky.
Brogent Technologies also appreciates AUO’s willingness to take on ambitious projects and dedication to providing first-class service. Based in Hsinchu, Taiwan, a major hub of advanced microchip and display technology, and with offices across the globe, AUO is one of the few companies in the world with the reach and resources to provide display technology for major exhibition projects. Companies that work with AUO frequently return for repeat business, thanks to AUO’s reliability, flexibility, and dedication to providing comprehensive follow-up service and maintenance as needed.
Blending the unique physical characteristics of old Keelung Station with cutting edge digital content, Aniverse has given the world a glimpse of what’s possible when old spaces meld with new technologies, and Brogent Technologies has proven that they can use AUO’s range of LED displays to deliver results that are second to none. Whether it’s outdoor naked-eye-3D content or fully immersive spherical multimedia experiences, Brogent is the company to beat. And for visitors to the reimagined Keelung Station, the stunning showcase of immersive 3D and interactive content has been an absolute delight.
